Bio

Miguel Jaller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at UC Davis and the Institute of Transportation Studies. He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Del Norte, Colombia; an M.E. in Transportation Engineering, M.S. in Applied Mathematics, and a PhD in Transportation Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research interests are in the areas of freight transportation, sustainable transportation systems, disaster response logistics, supply chain management, and operations research. His work concentrates on analyzing societal and private impacts from transport operations or policies, development of sustainable mobility options, and developing decision-making tools to achieve a sustainable transportation system.
