Graduate Student Researcher
Maria Magdalena Silaen is a M.Sc candidate in Transportation Technology and Policy program at the University of California Davis. She holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia. Her research interest includes travel behavior, public transportation, urban transportation planning, travel demand modeling, and shared mobility. Maria was born and raised in Indonesia and has worked for several transportation-related projects there. At her last project, she worked as a Transportation Survey and Database Analyst at Jabodetabek Urban Transportation Policy Integration Phase 2. She was in charge of Activity-Travel Diary Survey and analysis on socioeconomic and activity-travel behavior. She also conducted population synthesis and was involved in the development of Activity Based Model (ABM).
