Bio

Basar is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility (3RFM) program of the Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Davis (ITS-Davis). His research centers around travel behavior, emerging technologies, transportation equity, transportation and health, and land-use planning. His studies have been published in major transportation journals, including Transportation Research Part A (TR-A), Sustainable Cities and Society (SCS), and Travel Behaviour and Society (TBS). He has also presented at numerous conferences in the US, Brazil, Turkey, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Basar obtained a Ph.D. degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University. He received his Master’s degree in City Planning and Bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning, both from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey.
