Caroline Rodier, Researcher UC Davis led a Charrette titled "Automated Vehicles: Effects on Urban Development" located at the American planning Association’s National Conference, New Orleans April 21, 2018. This deep-dive charrette highlighted presentations from experts and in-depth conversations about how automated vehicles impact land use, physical city design, urban densification or sprawl, and local vitality and activity.
