Jessie Feller hahn

Jessie Feller hahn is the Executive Director of Meeting of the Minds where she has worked for the last eight years to bring together urban sustainability, innovation and technology leaders across sectors to share best practices and build lasting alliances. She has worked as an urban planner, specializing in urban and regional policy, sustainability and clean energy. Prior to leading Meeting of the Minds, she launched the Regional Energy Policy Program at the Regional Plan Association in NYC. In 2007, she worked as a Sustainability Fellow at the Portland Development Commission. Jessie received a BA in Urban Studies and Hispanic Studies from Vassar College, and a Masters in Environment and Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Russ Brooks

Russ Brooks is the Director of Smart Cities for Transportation for America. Last year, he launched the Smart Cities Collaborative bringing together 16 cities to explore how technology can improve urban mobility and tackle the challenges related to implementing smart city policies and projects. Before Smart Cities, he was T4America's Deputy Director and founded the Urbanful project, a startup launched to support small-batch manufacturers and local businesses with profits going to support Smart Growth America’s work. Prior to T4America, he served as the National Director for CABT, an organization focused on freight and highway safety, and was responsible for strategizing, planning and implementing their state and federal policy agenda as well as managing the organization’s field staff.

Nico Larco

Nico Larco is an Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Oregon and is a Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Sustainable Cities Initiative. He leads SCI’s Urbanism Next Research Initiative which focuses on how technological advances are changing city form and development. He has received numerous awards for his work and has published in journals such as the Journal of Urban Design, the Journal of Urbanism, and the Journal of Architecture and Planning Research. His work has been the subject of articles in the New York Times, Forbes, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and the Financial Times of London. He is a licensed architect, has worked professionally in the fields of Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, and Development, and is a principal of Larco-Knudson, an urban design consulting firm.

Jill North

Jill North is the Innovation Program Manager for the Department of Transportation in the City of San Jose. Prior to her current position, Jill worked as a Program manager for Street View Google Maps for five years where she has grown an expertise in how emerging technologies can change transportation experiences in cities like San Jose. Jill has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Illinois University and has been awarded the National CEO Award of Excellence for work collaborating with Parks Canada. She is now working on making the city of San Jose an innovative hub for transportation technology.
